Designed to celebrate teachers and the irreplaceable work they do, the Teacher Appreciation blanket is a beautiful blend of uplifting quotes and modern gouache painted patterns. The blanket is covered in many different sayings and quotes selected to express love and admiration for teachers. The center hexagon can be personalized with your teacher's name or the default is "Best Teacher Ever". It is a great gift for any educator and makes for an awesome class "thank you" gift.
 
Front and Back Minky: the front is a printed, deisgner minky and the back (and trim) is a longer-pile, ultra plush minky. I only use the highest quality, long lasting materials.
Uplifting Design: motivational and inspiring quotes about the value of teaching are placed all over the front of the blanket. The center hexagon says "Best Teacher Ever" or "Thank You".
Machine Washable: Colorfast! You can wash these blankets at home without worry of bleeding colors. Just don't use heat or fabric softener. (See "Care Instructions" for more details.)
Handmade, Local Small Shop: I design every piece of art on the blanket, place every fabric order, wrap and ship every blanket. My talented seamstress is also a full time mom of 4 here in Kaysville, UT. This is not a generic, bulk operation - you and your blanket get our full love and attention.

"RTS" means Ready to Ship: Some blankets are ready to ship within 2 business days and are denoted with "RTS" after the product name in the product options dropdown box. If it's not RTS, the blanket will be made to order and typically takes 4 weeks (more info on turnaround times here).
Personalization: if you'd like to personalized the center hexagon of the blanket, please enter the name in the field provided at checkout. If you choose not to personalize the blanket, it will either say "Best Teacher Ever" or "Thank You". This requires the "Made to Order" turnaround time option to be selected at check out. Made to order blankets take around 4 weeks to ship. Please get in touch if you are worried about meeting a deadline.
 
Back fabric: the second photo on this listing is the back fabric options which coordinate well witht his blanket. There's White, Frosted Tan, Frosted Gray, Blush Pink, and Navy Blue. 
 
STORY BEHIND THE BLANKET
 
When the end of the school year was approaching, I realized I wanted to give my kids' teachers more than just a card. I wanted to give them something that really THANKED them. Teachers never seem to rest and so I wanted to give them something that would pamper them a bit. My kid's class all went in on the gift which was more meaningful to her and also kept the cost very low! I told friends about it and ended up making a ton of personalized teacher appreciation blankets that year.
